Why November Is An Important Month

There are many reasons why November is an important month. One being that November is the month of Thanksgiving! This holiday is so important because it's a time where friends and family gather together to spend time with one another. This month should be a time where we all take a moment to think about all the we have been blessed with. What a wonderful time of year!

Another very important part of November is that this entire month is National Diabetes Month. Please wear blue to show your support!

Whether you personally have diabetes or know someone who has diabetes, you are probably affected by it in some way. In 2015, The American Diabetes Association reported an estimated 30.3 million Americans (9.4% of the population) had diabetes. That is a significant amount of people.

Thanksgiving and National Diabetes Awareness Month are two reasons why November is important to us at Mountain Health Clinic. We hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving full of togetherness and love. We also hope that you use this month to bring attention to diabetes and its impact on millions of people.
